The label says “Black as stout, close your eyes and taste and this beer is classic IPA,” but I don’t really agree with that. I didn’t find it that hoppy, and the chocolate and coffee notes were powerfully “in your face.” Still a remarkable beer, complex and satisfying, perfect to pair a red meat based meal.
